Moksha Ekadashi & Gita Jayanti – Special Cow Seva Campaign by Doon Animal Welfare

In the shelter of Doon Animal Welfare, many injured, sick and abandoned cows are waiting every day for treatment, food and loving care. On the auspicious occasion of Moksha Ekadashi, scriptures mention that sincere gau seva (service to cows) brings peace and upliftment to our ancestors and helps them on the path of moksha. Every act of kindness offered to cows on this day is considered deeply purifying for the entire family lineage.

Around this sacred period also comes Gita Jayanti, the divine day when Lord Krishna revealed the eternal wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna. The Gita teaches us that true devotion is expressed through selfless action. Serving injured and voiceless cows is a living expression of Krishna bhakti, turning our faith into compassionate karma.

How will your donation be used on these sacred occasions?

  • Immediate medical care, medicines and dressing for injured and sick cows
  • Daily fodder, green grass, hay and nutritious feed for sheltered cows
  • Special care and support for weak, old and abandoned cows
  • Strengthening the long-term infrastructure for sustainable cow protection

It is believed that gau daan and gau seva on Moksha Ekadashi help in relieving ancestral karmic burdens and bringing harmony, protection and blessings to the entire family. On Gita Jayanti, supporting cow protection becomes a practical way to live the message of the Gita – standing for dharma, compassion and selfless service.

This Moksha-giving Ekadashi and sacred Gita Jayanti, join hands with Doon Animal Welfare to support injured cows in our shelter. Your contribution – small or big – can ease the pain of a suffering cow, save a life and become a source of blessings for you and your ancestors.
