At Doon Animal Welfare, we are committed to serving both animals and people, especially during times of crisis. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our organization played a pivotal role in providing relief and support to those affected by the unprecedented challenges. Our COVID Relief Program focused on various initiatives aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by both animals and humans in our community.
Amidst lockdowns and restricted movement, many stray animals faced difficulties in finding food and basic necessities. We stepped in to provide essential food and medical care to these vulnerable animals, ensuring their well-being during the crisis. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to reach out to areas where these animals were most affected, offering them the care and support they desperately needed.
Recognizing the financial strain faced by pet owners during the pandemic, we extended our support by providing pet food and essential supplies to those in need. By alleviating the burden of pet care expenses, we ensured that beloved pets could remain with their families, offering comfort and companionship during challenging times. Our goal was to prevent pet abandonment and promote responsible pet ownership even amidst economic hardships.
In addition to direct relief efforts, we launched an extensive COVID-19 awareness campaign to educate the community about the importance of safety measures such as wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and maintaining proper hygiene. Through informational materials, workshops, and outreach programs, we aimed to empower individuals with knowledge and resources to protect themselves and others from the virus.
