A Ray of Hope for Dehradun’s Injured & Accidental Animals

Help Doon Animal Welfare Foundation Save Hundreds of Accidental & Injured Animals

Ray of Hope for the Voiceless Giants of Dehradun At Doon Animal Welfare Foundation, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), compassion knows no boundaries. Every single day, our rescue team receives heartbreaking calls — calves separated from their mothers… bulls lying unconscious on highways… cows with shattered legs… innocent beings hurt not by fate alone, but often by human cruelty.

These gentle souls cannot tell us their pain — but their eyes speak everything.

Our team works day and night, rescuing animals from remote villages, forests, hillsides, and busy highways. Many arrive with broken bones, deep maggot wounds, head injuries, or life-threatening infections. We do everything possible to give them a second life — but caring for them requires immense medical resources, nutritious fodder, manpower, and constant supervision.

And today, we are struggling. Rising costs of fodder, medicines, ambulance fuel, and shelter maintenance have made survival difficult for these voiceless lives.

Your support can help us continue this sacred mission — to rescue, heal, and protect those who cannot protect themselves.

A newborn calf, abandoned and injured, fighting for a second chance at life. Your Chance to Change Their Ending

This little baby was separated from his mother by some cruel hands. Scared, hungry, and wandering alone, he was hit by a speeding vehicle. His tiny leg shattered. When we found him, he was trembling in pain — but still trying to stand.

Today, he is safe under our care, receiving treatment, bandages, warm food, and love. Your support can help this child walk again.

A bull with a horrifying head injury caused by human cruelty.

He was found with a deep, bleeding wound on his head — maggots had already started eating his flesh. Someone had hit him brutally and left him to die on the roadside. Our ambulance team rushed him to the shelter. It took hours of cleaning, surgery, medication, and constant dressing to save his life.

Today he is recovering — only because someone cared enough to call us.

Doon Animal Welfare Foundation’s medical team fighting for every life.

This picture shows our team performing a critical surgery to remove dead tissue and maggots from a cow’s head injury. These procedures are painful, slow, and require expensive antiseptics, medicines, IV drips, painkillers, and professional handling.

Every life we save is a miracle — made possible only through support from people like you.

A paralysed cow in our life-saving hoist support system.

This innocent soul was found lying in a ditch, unable to move her legs. She cried for hours until our team reached her. The hoist machine you see is the only way to help paralysed cows stand on their feet again — and it requires manpower, expertise, and continuous monitoring.
