Providing Cool Comfort to Dehradun's Gaumata – A Plea for Compassionate Hearts

As the scorching summer heat descends upon Dehradun and its sacred surroundings, our voiceless Gaumata are facing immense suffering. Whether they have found refuge in Gaushalas (cow shelters) or are navigating the harsh realities of the streets, these gentle beings are in desperate need of respite from the relentless sun.

In the spirit of SEWA and righteous duty, we at Doon Animal Welfare humbly appeal to your compassionate hearts to extend a helping hand.

The Heat Struggle of Gaumata:

Within the confines of Gaushalas, overcrowding and limited resources intensify the agony caused by the oppressive heat and humidity. These sacred animals struggle to breathe, their vitality wanes, and their well-being is compromised.

The plight of the abandoned and wandering Gaumata is even more heart-wrenching. Forced to traverse burning roads in search of food and water, they face the unforgiving sun. This often leads to severe illness, and sadly, even death — especially for the frail and unwell.

Our Sacred Mission: To Offer Relief and Sanctuary

Inspired by the timeless principles of compassion and our reverence for all life, Doon Animal Welfare has launched the "सेवा ही धर्म: Providing Cool Comfort to Dehradun's Gaumata" initiative. We aim to install fans and coolers in Gaushalas and set up shaded resting places with clean water for street-dwelling cows.

• Offer Financial Blessings: Your donations will help us install cooling systems and build water stations for stray cows.
• Embrace Seva Through Action: Join our team in Gaushalas or on the streets to care for our sacred animals.

Donations to Doon Animal Welfare are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
