Tuesday Gau Seva: Hanuman Ji Feeding & Healing Drive

Tuesday Gau Seva: Feeding & Healing Drive

Doon Animal Welfare Foundation Dehradun (Uttarakhand) Weekly Tuesday Service

Tuesdays hold a special place in the hearts of devotees who remember Hanuman Ji—a symbol of strength, protection, and selfless service. On this day of seva, we invite you to extend compassion to those who cannot ask for help: our gentle Gau Mata. Across Dehradun and nearby areas, many cows wander hungry, weak, and injured. Some survive on unsafe waste, plastic, and leftover food; others suffer from infections, wounds, skin issues, or accident injuries. They do not speak, yet their pain is visible in every step they struggle to take.

Doon Animal Welfare Foundation works throughout the week to rescue, treat, and rehabilitate cows in distress. But on Tuesdays, we strengthen our efforts with a focused drive that combines safe feeding and timely medical support. This campaign is built on a simple truth: when a cow receives clean fodder, she regains strength; when her wounds are treated, her suffering reduces; and when she is protected, compassion becomes action. Your support helps us reach more cases faster, provide better care, and maintain consistent feeding for cows that depend on us.

Why Tuesday Gau Seva Matters

Tuesday is associated with courage, discipline, and service—qualities that inspire real-world kindness. For many families, doing a good deed on Tuesday feels meaningful and uplifting, especially when it protects life and reduces suffering. Gau Seva is also deeply connected to community wellbeing: healthier animals mean cleaner streets, fewer roadside risks, and a more caring environment. Sadly, the reality around us is heartbreaking—malnutrition, untreated wounds, infections, and painful injuries often worsen because help does not arrive in time. Your Tuesday contribution can become the turning point for a cow who has been silently suffering for days.

What This Drive Provides

• Safe feeding & hydration: Clean fodder, seasonal greens, and safe water arrangements so cows don’t rely on harmful waste.
• Emergency rescue & careful handling: Quick response to injured cows with safe transport support to reduce stress and trauma.
• Treatment & recovery care: Wound cleaning, dressing, antiseptic care, infection control support, and follow-ups under supervision.
• Nutrition for weak cows: Strength-building feed and supplements when advised, especially for elderly or underweight cows.
• Preventive care routines: Basic hygiene and monitoring that helps reduce repeat infections and improves overall wellbeing.
• Rest & shelter support: A safer space for recovery and protection from harsh weather and street hazards for cows that need rest.

How Your Donation Will Be Used

Every contribution—small or large—directly supports treatment and feeding needs. Donations help arrange medical essentials such as dressing material, antiseptics, prescribed care supplies, and diagnostic consultations when needed. Support also helps us maintain consistent fodder and safe feeding points so hungry cows receive clean nourishment instead of harmful waste. For cows that are too weak to return to the streets, your contribution supports day-to-day shelter needs, rest arrangements, and ongoing monitoring. This campaign stands on one belief: no cow should suffer due to lack of timely care.

Your Impact: Real, Immediate, Visible

Your support creates outcomes you can feel proud of. One donation can help provide a full day of safe fodder and water for a group of cows. Another can help with wound cleaning and dressing for an injured cow. A larger contribution can support multiple cases—feeding, treatment, and recovery care together. Step by step, these actions save lives, restore comfort, and bring dignity back to animals who have endured far too much.
