1. Thousands of Street Dogs Sleep Hungry Every Night

Life on the streets is very hard for dogs. They search for food in garbage piles, outside restaurants, and on busy roads. Many spend hours looking for even a few bites to eat. Some dogs are old and too weak to search for food. Some are injured after road accidents. Mother dogs often struggle to feed their puppies. Many puppies grow up without proper nutrition and become sick.

For these innocent animals, one healthy meal can be the difference between life and death. That is why our mission is simple—to feed a dog every day and make sure no stray dog suffers from hunger.

3. Daily Feeding Drives by Doon Animal Welfare Foundation

For the last 7 years, Doon Animal Welfare Foundation has been carrying out daily feeding drives across different parts of Dehradun. Our dedicated volunteers prepare and distribute fresh, nutritious meals to hundreds of hungry street dogs every single day.

Along with feeding, our rescue team receives 10 to 15 emergency calls daily for dogs that are injured, abandoned, sick, or in critical condition. Many rescued dogs need immediate medical treatment before they can recover. Our team works day and night because every dog deserves food, care, and love.

4. Every Meal Brings Hope

A hungry dog cannot speak. It cannot ask for help. It only waits with hope. Many street dogs stand outside shops, markets, schools, and homes, hoping someone will notice them. A small act of kindness from a caring person can completely change their day.
